I've been trying to figure out the simplest most effective way to extract codeine from the AC&C tablets that are available over the counter in Canada, where I live. So after crawling the internet, reading other people's techs, finding solubilities, and doing the math I have managed to write a simple and comprehensive extraction that is fast, cheap, concise and effective. This method uses materials that are very easily obtained if you live in Ontario Canada, and likely in other places as well. So without further ado, here is the tech: Purpose: Extract ~80mg of codeine with a minimum of ASA and caffeine from OTC AC&C tablets. Materials: ~10 AC&C Tablets (375mg ASA/15mg caffeine/8mg codeine) 10ml oral syringe (biggest available syringe in most pharmacies, and usually free) 3'' x 3'' paper towel 4-5ml cold water (<5°C) 1oz. shot glass Procedure: Soak paper towel in cool water. Fold and place at the bottom of the syringe, to hold pill material and act as a filter. Finely powder 10 tablets. Fill the syringe with the tablet powder. Tamp down the powder to make it more solid. Taking care not to disturb the powder, fill syringe with 4-5ml of cold water (<5°C) Very quickly insert plunger. Hold syringe over shot glass and slowly press down on the plunger. Over a period of several minutes catch the drops in a shot glass. The drops should be mostly clear. When finished, the shot glass should be less than 1/4 full. Dispose of the contents of the syringe, wash, and sterilize. All that should be left is a solution of up to 80mg codeine and a reduced amount of caffeine in about 3-5ml of water. Repeat steps 1-10 until the desired amount of codeine is extracted. Using the shot glass, quickly swallow the codeine solution. The taste should be quite bitter. Sit back and enjoy. Misc. Notes: Putting sugar in your mouth prior to taking the shot helps with the taste somewhat. The small amount of water used in this method means that the effects should come on in only 10-20 minutes. Bigger syringes can hold more crushed materials, and therefore increase codeine yield while keeping caffeine levels relatively the same. It is well worth it to seek out a 30ml oral syringe. It is very important that the water is very very cold. The colder the water the bigger the codeine yield and the smaller the caffeine yield. Getting as close to freezing as you can increases the effectiveness of this method. Codeine will be lost in this extraction, but that is hardly and issue considering how cheap and readily available the AC&C tablets are. There, that's it. I hope this extraction tech benefits people. Most of the other techs i've seen are either missing one thing or another, and/or are jumbled and confusing. I hope mine has been none of those. I kept it clean and simple without going into much of the theory behind it. If you want to know how it actually works, then research and do the math yourself. Be warned that this tech does not work with Acetaminophen, only the tablets with Acetylsalicylic Acid. Otherwise the syringe plugs up and no water gets through.

Here's one that works with acetominophen. I found it on another site. --- Info --- * CWE works with codeine, hydrocodone (Vicodin), and oxycodone (Percoset). * 4000 mg of APAP causes liver damage. Going higher can cause liver failure or death. That is why it is necessary to remove it. * The result is a bitter liquid containing the opiate dissolved in water and no or barely any APAP, aspirin, or ibuprofen. * Some APAP or other bad stuff goes in. It's okay, we just want the majority of it out. * You should read the whole document before you try to do an extraction. * Make sure you know what is in the pill you are trying to separate. * If the pill contains any caffeine, this method won't remove it. * Ask me if you are confused about anything. --- Materials Needed --- Opiate-containing painkiller like codeine w/ APAP (eg. Tylenol 1 / 2 / 3), hydrocodone w/ APAP (eg. Vicodin), oxycodone w/ APAP (eg. Percocet), etc. Some prior knowledge of the pills you're using. Things like what it contains, how many you need for the desired dose, etc. Water Flat surface, razor / credit card, and hard flat-sided object (for crushing the pills). Liquid measuring cup. In cups or mL's. Cheesecloth or coffee filters A freezer (or just refrigerator, but it will take longer) Plastic bottle with lid or glass jar with lid Bowl --- The Procedure --- 1.) Determine the dose you want to take of the opiate and set out the amount of pills needed to achieve that dose. For example: if I want to take 25 mg od hydrocodone, I would set out 5 5/500 Vicodins. On a flat, smooth surface, crush the pills into a very fine powder. I used the plain side of a domino, anything flat and hard will work. Make sure you crush up any chunks of the pill you missed. Take your credit card or razor and push the powder into a pile. 2.) Take about 1/2 a cup (100 mL) of water warm to hot water and pour it into your bottle, jar, or whatever you're using. Make sure the water isn't too hot, if you can hold your finger in it, it's okay. Take your pile of powder and pour it into the container of water somehow. Put a lid on and shake it up until you can't see the pile of powder in the water anymore. This should take around 5 mins. 3.) Take your bottle or jar and pour the liquid into the bowl as soon as you're done shaking. Put the bowl in your freezer (or fridge) and let it get really cold, but not to the point of freezing (~42° F or 6°C). When the temp. is right, or you can see stuff at the bottom of the bowl (about the same amount of powder you put in) you can take it out. 4.) Get a cup and out and put a piece of cheesecloth or a coffee filter on top. Hold the filter on and slowly pour the liquid through the filter and into the cup. Slow down if liquid gets close to running off the edge of the filter. Squeeze the last of the liquid out of the filter, being careful not to break it. 5 (optional).) Empty the contents of the filter and bowl into the bottle or jar and repeat steps 2 through 4. This will get the last of the opiate out. You will have a cup (200 mL) left if you do. When you're all done, chug the liquid (it tastes pretty bad) or mix in some sugar or Kool-Aid and drink it. You could also evaporate the water (risks destroying the opiate in it!) (without boiling) and have a pure powder of whatever opiate you used. Pour the powder in some soda or do whatever you want with it.
Sweet! I was more looking at the syringe method than the 'regular' method that i have tried before. I dont have any coffee filters at the moment. Do you think that using a washcloth would work? Somewhere i read it would....
codine is weak bro just get some hydrocodone or something stronger, its too much work and u lose alot of the drug when u extract it through this method
I guess a wash cloth would work. I don't see why not. For that matter a paper towel would probably work.
Awesome, also as far as letting the extracted solution turn into a powder (have not done only prepared liquid before), i should just dan dry tge solution on a large plate?
On doing a CWE with Hydro's.I just did a fast extract on 14 hydro 5/500's(70mg's hydro).I just crush 'em up,add the powder to cold water and let set a few minutes and strain thru a coffee filter pretty quickly.The result is a pretty cloudy,bitter as shit solution in my glass.Theres a big ball of gack left-over in the coffee filter,apap I assume.From the time I put the crushed powder in the water,,maybe 5 minutes til drinking. Now all techs I read involve a lot of time and compared to what I just did-effort.Is it pretty safe to assume that since the cut off level on apap is 4 grams,that as long as I have the big ball leftover in the filter,it's a pretty safe bet to consume the filtered liquid,as long as it's just occasionally done.I know I am probably ingesting a bit of apap,but it has to be a pretty safe amount for a one off thing right?I know if you do this on a regular basis,you need to get rid of as much binder etc. as possible.But for the one off thing,a quick cold soak and fast filter should be pretty safe right?I figure if you do this so much you still have to worry about hitting the 4 gram level on apap you might need to find a different drug to mess with if possible.Any thoughts from experienced people?And yeah,I'm way tolerant so 70mg's may not do anything,they were just there so I did em. And by the way,I am not suggesting this for any and all,just for myself,in the matter of keeping things safe.
Yeah, you should be ok. Even if you just used a quick procedure it's a lot better than nothing. 14 Hydro's taken without cwe would give you 7000mg of acetominophen. I don't know exactly how efficient cwe's are, but even if you eliminate only 80% of the acetominophen that would cut your intake down to 1400mg, which is far below the danger level.
