Ok guys...I started on yaz, and it made me so psycho. I cried over anything and everything. So I went off it(My boyfriend at the time, told me i was aboslutely crazy on yaz.). Then I got on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo(been on it for about 7 or 8 months). Which I'm on now. Ortho lo has made my face almost perfectly clear and if I have any acne, its not real bad. And I am not psycho while on this. But I need to switch. I've been having breakthrough bleeding for the past 4 months. Ive heard someone say if you had breakthrough bleeding for 3 months consecutively then you should switch. So thats what I plan to do. But I don't know what to switch to. Whatever I switch to, HAS to keep my face clear. Silly me, I like having a clear face. I was debating switching to the regular ortho tri cyclen since its higher estrogen, and isnt higher estrogen supposed to stop breakthrough bleeding? I guess whats your opinions? I also am debating nuvaring? Anyone had these same experiences?
I have only been on bc 1 time while I was 18 & stopped because I didn't like how it made me feel. I'm now 26, married & don't want kids & don't really want any accidents to happen so I decided it was time to maybe start on some again. My doc gave me Femcon. It's interesting; it's chewable & tastes minty & it alleges that it has the least chance of having break thru bleeding. I've been on it for a month. Aside from all the weird hormonal changes that I'm going thru, when I bled this month... it was for 3 days and very lite. No break thru as of yet. I have read some woman having some periods of break thru, but within 3-6 months they stop all together. I'll let you know in 2 months how it's going. When a new zit shows up on my normally clear face, I just try to remind myself that it will be better soon. Hope everything works out for you.
I had the same problem with the ortho lo. It made my skin amazing but it didn't do much else. I'm on the regular Ortho tri-cyclen now and it is working out fine for me. No breakthrough bleeding or anything. The only thing I miss is the clear skin!
