I have been thinking about becoming an ordained minister. Has anyone done this? What have your wedding experiences been like?
Well, you convinced me.. I'm officially ordained. This would actually be a pretty sweet gig. But omg I am sentimental..I will make everyone cry. I need to hold back the tears.
These days, pretty much everyone write's their own vows anyway so you're just going to be doing the official pronouncement most likely.
Minister, not undertaker.. Wait,is it also a minister who does funerals? Interesting. This just says wedding officiant.
If I'd gone on to become a Wiccan Priestess, I was going to get my Clergy license. I could have done it all and visited in an official capacity at hospitals and probably prisons, too.
This sounds like my recent wedding where we didn't have a priest we had a Viking misses minister from Iceland. Well maybe it's not the same thing.
Yes. I’m an ordained minister. I was the MC of my brother’s wedding. It’s really easy to become one through the Universal Life Church.
I agree with PR - there’s something inherently cultish about an ordained minister. Maybe because there have been so many news stories over the years about so-called ordained ministers who were charged and convicted of child sexual rape and abuse.
I have 2 friends who have done it. One friend has officiated many weddings, mostly at Dead shows and what not. The other became a Dudeist priest as a joke, but I'm fairly certain he has the legal authority to officiate weddings
