hello everyone, i know you can take salvia leaves orally, but do they have to be fresh? is it true that its an easier trip than smoking? :hat:
I haven't done salvia yet (its coming tomorrow !).. but i know you need the actual leaves to orally take it, doesn't matter if they're fresh or dried (most vendors sell dried). it isn't easier to take salvia orally at all, you need to chew the leaves for a while and it probably don't taste that good :\ if you dont want to smoke get some Salvia Tincture and drink up.
I think he meant less intense when he said 'easier', dude. There are a few things you need to remember when taking salvia sublingually... Don't swallow the salvia, your stomach acids will kill the salvinorin A and you won't get any effects. You have to chew up the salvia for about 30 minutes and hold all the saliva you produce in your mouth. After you've chewed up your salvia you can either spit it out or swallow it. You can use fresh leaves or an extract, I find extracts work better because you have to use less. The effects are much more subtle when using this method, comparable to a low dose of ketamine. Salvia tincture doesn't work for the majority of people, and you don't drink it you hold it in your mouth.
