Is there one single instrument that you think you could hear for a day without being bored? Is there one single instrument that you KNOW would drive you out of your skin within a few hours (or minutes)? I like piano and violin. Don't think I'd want to hear the bagpipes for more than a song (preferably Amazing Grace). Accordion would also work my last gay nerve.
well the closest you get there is guitar i guess...i wouldnt be able to listen to a synthesizer for a day...dont know how some people did it for a whole decade
I could listen to guitars and flutes all day. Only things I couldn't listen to for more than just a little while are bagpiges or synthesizers.. jazz trumpets give me headaches too (sorry, Miles).

Out of all ym favourite instruments to listen to, I'd probably either choose the steel drums or the Bazuki to listen to all day.
I could listen all day long to a piano or an acoustic guitar, but I couldn't listen a whole day to drums.
When I read about these people who can't listen to drums, I think of the episode of I LOVE LUCY in which Little Ricky is given a set of drums
What a good question I guess if i had to listen to the steel pans all day I would be in such a ruin. I guess if I had to listen to the xylophone and guitar all day, I would not be in need for a mental hospital.
Love the sound of a fat synthesizer, loath the sound of bagpipes and the saxaphone (except maybe on a good floyd track, but NO kenny g etc)
