... I know that I thoroughly enjoy plantains inside a tortilla. However, I want to change it up a bit by adding other things. What do you recommend?

i used to go to taco bell and whatever you order you can substitute beans for meat.

I don't eat Taco Bell. At least I haven't for years. Actually. I don't really eat fast food anymore. Those bean cheese burritos with mild sauce were good back in the day, though. However, the very last time I ate one... it was disgusting. I don't know... after so many years of eating fast food one day without warning it all started tasting nasty to me. I'm not trying to sound like a d-bag. I know people and food can be a touchy subject. It's like religion, people are so concern with what other people put in their mouths, just like they're concerned with what they believe in, as well as don't believe in. Anyways, I was the girl that had a collection of Mcdonalds toys because my mom would buy me the Happy Meal like twice a day, so I was avid to fast food. But, one day I just got sick of fast food, both physically and mentally. So, now I just cook my shit. I enjoy cooking... a lot. Though, there are a few eating out places that I still like.

But it could be good that way too. I think a fresh thick corn tortilla would be good with a steak.

But, I guess you could manage it, if you have a large burrito tortilla. Cut the steak, at least in strips. Gosh, that sounds like a coughing hazard.

 

oh man you should buy one of those star shaped tortilla bowls, possibilities are endless...............

 

i have a set, and when i have company ill whip them out and make breakfast bowls, it could be vegetarian depending on where you stand with eggs.

 

Eggy 'tato tacos;

Cut potato into tiny cubes and fry in oil until crispy (on the outside) then as they are still frying, glaze by pouring beaten egg slowly in the pan while quickly stirring the potatoes until they are all coated. Fill softened corn tortillas with the eggy-tatos and serve with a sprinkle of cilantro and cheddar cheese, your favorite salsa, a dollop of sour cream and/ or guacamole or whatever else you like on tacos.

Maybe, they mean vegan steak made from tofu or seitan. :dizzy2:
