    A sustainable population of 3,000,000,000

At the start of the 1900's the world population number one billion souls.

At the start of the 2000's the world population number six billion souls.

If the world's population keeps increasing at the same rate. As the last one hundred years, it will total thirty six billion souls by the 2100's.

Which will see resources such as fresh water, food and clean air. Pushed to the breaking point. Fresh water from rainfall will not be enough to meet people's needs. Cities will have to be six times large. Farm land to grow food will have to expansed by a factor of six. Forest which are need to clean our air would disappear under a demand for more food. CO2 production would increase to 500ppm or more, without forests to turn CO2 into oxygen. Demand for fossil fuels and soon to be nuclear power increases as population grows.

With these environmential disasters happening as we speak. The earth needs a voluntary one child policy to save the earth from the future. Carbon, food, water and deforestation footprint of 36,000,000,000 pairs of feet. 36,000,000,000 pairs of lungs breathing out carbon dioxide. 36,000,000,000 mouths, drinking and eating their way through 12 times the number of farms(forest of a by-gone era become homes and farm land).

In the interest of saving the planet we live on and indeed save ourselfs. Choose to get de-sex after your first child. Until we reach a sustainable population of three billion.

    Think globally and act locally

From the demented mind of a schizophrenic.

My dreams for the future towards 2100.

Will humanity make it past 2100, I think not

What will the world be like in year 2100

    1) world population at 36,000,000,000

    2) carbon dioxide at 1,000ppm by 2050

    3) sea levels at 20 metre or 60 feet higher as land ice of Greenland and the antarctic disappear.

    4) oil based fuels disappear at 2050

    5) nuclear power increases at alarming rates

    6) forests and the animals that depend on them disappear

    7) fish numbers in oceans disappear from over fishing to feed 36,000,000,000 people

    8)decades of global drought

    9) over three billion homeless from rising sea levels

    10) the end of global trade as ports are flooded

    1. World population in 1900 was about 1.7 billion, it reached a billion around 1800
    2. 36 billion? Lolz, by 2100 you can expect maybe 15 billion if birth rates don't slow down, but apparently you missed the boat on the fact birth rates have been slowing all across the world as countries become more developed.
