Once Upon A Time In The West

A soldier came to desert heat
    A pack upon his back
    His rifle true
    His helmet on
    To make the first attack.

The sand bit at his weathered face
    His water running dry
    His courage was unbounded
    But built upon a lie.

    The battle raged
    The bullets flew
    The soldier stood and fought
    The enemy a foreign race
    Its treasures to be sought.

    God's Will was kind,
    The soldier won,
    His victory was sweet.
    Upon his arm
    The Stars and Stripes
    Were seen on every street.

    But why now
    Such sour remains
    When Freedom shines its light?
The soldier came to save them,
    To fight the truthful fight.

    No matter still
    The bombs explode,
    No matter blood is spilled.
The soldier guards the Treasure now,
So let the graves be filled.
