Hey All! Let me introduce myself. My name is Matt as you may have guessed from my nick. I've always been a bit of a traveller and once again I am about to embark on a voyage. Part of this trip is to find myself and at the same time it is my intention to enjoy myself. This is something I've been wanting to do for so many years and I'm finally getting around to it. I was sitting here looking for places to go for I am on the verge of initiating a 6+ month trip around the US. I already had a series of destinations in mind but I found the list of hippie friendly cities across the country. I think that will be perfect for me. I'm not sure that I could be classified as entirely hippy (both of my parents were hippies and I was pretty much raised as one so I'm sure I qualify on some level) but that is usually the crowd I have spent my life around and feel most comfortable with. My trip begins in a couple days and I will be Beginning this leg of the trip in Buffalo NY and ending it in San Francisco Ca. where I will be staying with my cousin for a couple months. Along the road I am planning on stopping in Boulder Co. and visiting various sites I have always wanted to see but have not yet had the opportunity such as Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monument, Yellowstone, and I'm trying to decide if I want to stop at Mt St Helens right now. Since I'm travelling alone (well technically I have my kitty Wisp with me but no human companions) I would really like to meet people on the road. I'm sure I'll meet plenty through my day to day activities, it would be nice if some people could show me around cool places. Anyhow, since I'm not bee lining it to SF if anyone thinks that theyre city is particularly cool or just a really nice place to spend a day drop me a response in this forum (or e-mail me if thats possible) and Ill see about maybe stopping off there on my way. Anyhow if you happen to notice a slightly worn Silver Pontiac Transport licenced in NY State and there is a guy with a goatee, wild hair and a cat perched on his shoulder, honk your horn, it's probably me. Peace all! Travelling Matt
