    A few things....

    1) When ppl refer to communist mistakes, they should not group in a normal communist's ideas with USSR's ideas or The Peoples Republic of China's idea. Those dictatorships do not express the goals of the rest of the communist world, just wat Mao and Stalin and Lenin thought. If you want to kno wat a normal communist really thinks read the Communist Manifaesto. There is nothing in there about taking politcal prisoners, causing extreme poverty to the people, and evil stone cold dictatorships.

    2) I think that communism is a very good idea in theory, but its just not possible to do in real life. The lack of incentive to do work in the big one, human nature requires rewards for things we do. Also it normally puts a small amount of ppl in complete power, and you kno how the saying goes "absolute power corrupts absolutly".

But i do think a little socialism liek there is in Canada and Britain is a good idea.

    3) Ive noticed that there are a lot of random words highlighted yellow in the threads recently. Even sometimes when i type that happens. WTF is up with that??

No, communism wasn't planned to be a disaster.

The original plans for the space shuttle did not include it expoding mid flight.

The Titantic was supposed to float.

The Hindenburg was not supposed to catch fire.

But the shuttle exploded, the Titantic sank, and the Hindenburg burned. AND COMMUNISTS DESTROYED ENTIRE NATIONS AND SLAUGHTERED UNTOLD MILLIONS.

    Get it?

I would disagree with you, lenin was true revolutionary and his diea have never been implemeted, but as for stalin, mao, and pal pot that is certainly true.

dude, doesn't the communist manifest have all those lame-ass planks, saying all private property to the state?
regardless, communism will never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, make a come back.
and lenin was a bloody bastard who would kill for what he wanted.
that whole gang was a bunch of shills to coerce the russian public into a false revolution where the power would still be in the hands of the few.

    1. My personal favorites are:

Origins of the family private property and the state - Engels
The State and Revolution - Lenin

What kind of socialism? Is there any socialism in Canada and Britain at all? Britain has been an imperialist nation for hundreds of years.

One of the reasons Marx and Engels lived in England, was because capitalism was most developed there. Yeah, capitalism, not socialism. But I guess it depends on how you would like to define socialism. Some Americans even call The Democrats "socialist".

And that is not how in this capitalist world?

The richest 20% of the world population now receives 150 times the income of the poorest 20%.

Three families – Bill Gates, the Sultan of Brunei and the Walton family – have a combined wealth of some $135 billion. Their value equal the annual income of 600 million people living in the world’s poorest countries.

The form of rule practiced in the Soviet Union during Lenin and Stalin, China under Mao, and Cuba under Fidel , is Marxism-Leninism. Many traditional Marxists are opposed to Marxism-Leninism.

In socialist and communist societies, the people (like you and mine) are the ones in power, not a President, a Prime Minister, a Premier, or Furher. Communists believe that common people should rule this society, and that society should exist for common people. People like you and me would be the most important in the world, and not some working prostitutes for the rich.

Why not? I mean if everything is organized on a local basis then it could exist.

I lost what I was supposed to write, so I will shorten it.

People change depending on social factors. We are a social product, living in a social enviroment. Why do you do the things you do in life? If you look closely and analyze, you might reach the conclusion that most of the things you do, are because of the enviroment that surrounds you.

An example: You don't go naked in public, because society doesn't approve. Thus, if I suggested: "Hey, let's go naked downtown", you would think I would be crazy. But in many societies, being naked is perfectly natural, and wearing clothes, very unatural. Thus, if you would suggest to a person living in a nudist society: "Hey, let's wear clothes", that person would think you would be a lunatic.

Today, greed does not only exist: GREED IS PROMOTED!

Just like capitalism promotes greed and egoism, we will promote altruism and love for others.

Che believed that a New Man had to be created: no ego and all ferocious love for the other, had to be forcibly created out of the ruins of the old one. We will have to follow his word.

    You understand. Very good.

People like Hitler doesn't just pop out of the air. I think it's safe to say that he was a product of his times.

The state is by no means a power forced on society from without. Rather, it is a product of society at a certain stage of development.

And anyways, if an enemy of society would try to gain power, the people, who would be class conscious, would fight them off. They cannot win any power, if the people won't co-operate. There is no need to co-operate with people who want to re-instate class society.

Yes, and in the end you will reach the conclusion that humans are evil scumbags who would kill their moms in order to get money.

Sure, people will think of themselves, that's natural and healthy. If people wouldn't work for society, society would not appreciate this person. If a person would contribute to society, society would appreciate, respect and admire this person. People who work very hard might even get special benefits.

What is your point? (not a rhetoretical question)

I think he said something like "let me guide you for three years, and we will see a tommorow where our children embrace our philosophy". Not exactly it... But closer, I think.

True, but I personally believe that can change. Being aware of the problem, and our own inner problems, is very important, I think. I can be lazy too (not really lazy, but I often get tired quickly because of my ADD, which makes me inclined to get tired more quickly for different reasons), that I admit, but I try to be aware of my bad habits, and delete them on my list of behaviors.

You see a list of your good and bad personal abilities, and you try to fill the list of positive things, while erasing the negative list. That's at least part of my philosophy :)

And yes, I am self-critical. I think that is an important step towards a better society. Because the commercial culture today tells us that "we are so special" and that "you shouldn't give a shit about anybody", and "if you have a pimple you are going to die". I think we can destroy that culture from tearing us a part inside, and one of those methods is to be self-critical.

We should recognize our faults and abilities we lack as human beings, as well as be aware of our positive traits and contribution.

And we can also, as a group, impose such values on people who are lazy or who don't give a shit about other people. If they continue to be selfish and egoistic, us as a group can show these people less respect. We can criticize them for not criticizing themselves.

And after that, we can discuss with these people regarding our disagreements, come to a conclusion, and if possible, come to an agreement.

The West created and funded Communism for their own personal gain. The west funded Lenin and helped put Mao into power. You so-called communists are dupes! 'Nuff said.
