by what you say,i understand he has several problems,for which he needs urgent treatment.
he is suffering of sociophobia,since you say he won't talk to you.
he uses the peanut as a mother substitute,since he hides behind it when he feels threatened;but this is the interesting part:the subject also has a substitute oedip's complex,that's why he's trying to rape the peanut.
