Okay, well there is this boy, who is one of my close friends. He WAS a vegetarian. And was for a long time. He is a really big hippy. And he got me into being vegetarian. Like, I always into animal rights, but i never had the courage to become a vegetarian and well I did, because of him. Not REALLY for him, but for the animals. ANYWAYS. He started eating meat. I didn't know about it unil my other friend told me. I text messaged him, and he said that it was because he wanted meat. I got really pissed off. See, if it was someone else, then sure, whatever, do what you want. But he has argued with MANY people about why he is a vegetarian and so many other people should be too. Come to find out, my other friend told me that he started eating meat because it was startign to be a trend. I cannot tell him I know his real reason. So I don't think it is right that he stopped. I think that, even though it is starting to be a trend, it is good. Because more people not eating meat=more animals not getting hurt. Thanks for your time. I just had to let it out.
put it in his face: bro, you were after me with (point 1,2,3) and now you are snarfing corpse sandwiches? What gives? and he has the right to eat whatever he wants. Although I hate hearing that the prostelytizers revert because it is really bad PR for the rest of us... like the fish eaters who think they are veggies.
it IS his choice to eat meat, but he should at least be eating meat that came from a small, private, local family farm, not from factory farms. show him the meatrix flash cartoon at: http://www.themeatrix.com hehe, drumminmama, i just can't convince my mom's side of my family that people who only eat fish are not vegetarians. i guess they don't get the concept that a fish is not a plant. i guess i'll use the ole' "i have some fish seeds i'm going to plant in my garden" line on them next time, see if they finally get the point.
"Chickens do not come from eggplants. Fish do not grow on seaweeds." It FINALLY got through my parents' heads (my step mom is a false veggie with fish breath) at age 35! I went veg at 13, lapsed a bit with fish for two years (and did not self identify as a veggie during that time.. don't do it much in the brick and mortar world now. I'll answer some Qs but that's it)
lol thanks. And yeah, it IS his choice to choose what he eats. Its just if it was someone else, it would be fine. But he is different. :/ And yeah! everyone is like "Do you eat fish?" And instead of saying, its an animal too. I just say I don't like the taste of it. Which I don't. And thats funny "i have some fish seeds i'm going to plant in my garden"
