Ok, just bump this if you voted and if you would like to say who you voted for fine. Otherwise: I Voted!
I voted. My presidential vote means little seeing as we always go Dem in MA but questions 1-3 had a lot of importance and I'm really nervous and excited to hear the results!
^^ I think that I also find that to be true. I am looking forward to our questions to be answered as well. We have a question on if we thing the state constitution should be rewriten and then there is the prop 8 question in California. I am looking forward to hearing about all of those. I like those better than just the canidates.
hows the weed proposition going in MA? i lived in boston like 4 months ago and im just curious to see whats going on there
i voted for obama. but i voted a little while ago, absentee. it was a hard choice since i'm in a new state but as a student. i could have registered to vote in indiana, or i could vote absentee for ohio. ohio is a swing state and vitally important in any national election. indiana is a republican state generally, but its not been so clear and its looking like indiana could go either direction this year, and i'd like to help with that if i could. ohio has more electoral votes, though, so if my vote helped push ohio to vote for my candidate of choice it would result in my ohio vote counting for more than if i voted in indiana and helped sway them for my candidate. however i dont trust voting absentee, i dont trust they're counted properly. then again back in ohio we've had a LOT of problems with "defective" machines in the past two elections....and always in highly democratic areas.:toetap05: so i feel better in general about voting in person, but i still dont trust voting either way. but if my vote will count, it will count more in ohio, so thats what i went with.
i dont think he's eligible for a write in, is he? i think he's now focusing on reelection to congress
God, you know you're growing sad and old when you invite friends round to stay up till six in the morning watching a foreign country's election results live... Got some tasty Haze with a really nice musty flavour, some bottles of microbrewery ale to go with the entertainments and I got an almost ready thai green veg curry on the stove made with some killer mouth burning import paste... good shit!
i was gonna retort to Willys post.. but then i looked it up.. as long as the name is proper.. in the state of PA.. ALL write in votes are counted
huh. in ohio, and i thought the whole nation, you had to a) be eligible to be elected b) officially declare your intent to run its a throwback to when ballots were blank and EVERY vote was written in. they switched to printed ballots, but left a place to write in a name for people who joined the race later than the others
I voted for Obama and went to Chic Fil A to get a free sandwich for voting while Revolution Number 9 was actually played on the radio. I blasted it for the Christian folk.
I like Chick-Fil-A, one of the better fast food chains. Very Christian private company, closed on Sundays, but good food and a unique product.
I voted, I voted for McKinney. I also voted yes to our one state proposition which was to give Disabled war veterans, who arent already collecting benefits from the state to get an extra 5 points on a state test that you have to take to be eligible for state jobs. I also voted on a couple state wide elections as well.
