I never, ever paint mine. With the exception of my wedding, when I got a manicure, I don't think I've painted my nails since an 8th grade orchestra concert! Are there other fellow non-nail painters out there??
My first words to my wife after our wedding were "Your nails are painted !!!" So much for sweet sentiments. Her first words to me, when we finally got alone, were "Get me out of this dress". Which could be interpreted romantically, but wasn't her intent. (Why does convention inflict the misery of that day on brides and why do they let it be done to them?) Neither of us paint our nails.
I used to paint my nails, I do paint my toenails during the summer. I can't paint my fingernails these days because I'm head cook where I work and while some of the other ones don't seem to care too much, I cringe to think of polish flakes getting in people's food, even if I do wear gloves.
I like when it chips off.. well, im a freak and like messing with people.. there is just a little more to go for one my big toes , still has black chip on it from summer.. Its like a corny time line. I have plenty thing to take it off. dont really paint my nails alot , if I do its usually black. but I have glam colors.. colors that Id have to add thinner to use it, they are old.. I dont really buy them. :gorgeous:
I hate painting my nails... I hate when it chips and that when it does, it damages my nails (which are feeble enough as they are).
i rarely paint my finger nails, i can't stand waiting for them to dry, they always get smudged somehow. don't mind the chipping so much though. i usually paint my toe nails in the summer.
I very occasionally paint my toenails, but only when I can afford the non-toxic eco friendly stuff... I do not like my fingernails painted at all though.
Hardly ever. I hate when it chips too, which is usually the very next day. I always get the impulse to peel it off when it starts chipping and then my nails look all ashy and gray which I assume means the paint has sucked every last bit of moisture out of them. I hate visible brush strokes in the darker shades, no matter how precisely I apply it, I can still see them and I obsess over the straightness of the edge when I file them. I unload tractor trailers at one job and take care of animals at the other, so overall it's pretty pointless to paint my nails. I do like a pedicure in the summer to hide my funky toenails (botched surgery on my big toes when I was a kid) but usually can only afford one per summer and don't have the motivation to touch up myself so by August I go around wearing those last few bits of 2-month old polish that haven't yet chipped off... classy.
im pretty simple, dont really wear earrings and all my jewelry is nothin fancy. if i paint my nails it would just chip off in 5 minutes cuz im always pickin up rocks climbing trees or playin in dirt.
I don't. I sometimes did when I was trying to quit biting my nails, but it all turned into my OCD self ignoring everything for hours to pick off the dried polish and I was left with icky polish-free nails. Then I bit them. Now, jeez. I don't have the time to paint them, let alone dry them. The polish all chips off within a day, my lifestyle is so harsh. And what polish doesn't, well, it tastes funny. I have a life, I don't need painted nails.
just a tip for those of you that complain about chipping polish: -it's about technique. for instance, don't paint too close to the cuticle or it will form a bubble that will chip the next day. -it's also about the brand of polish. i usually buy OPI which takes several days to start chipping.
I rarely do my nails, used to now I am usually to lazy to bother and have NEVER done my toes, I have such short toe nails it might look pretty funny... peace Delfynasa
No, I do not wear nail polish. And here is why: When I was a kid, my mom had these long curving talon claws that were always painted. Occasionally, when we would eat dinner, I would find chips of her shiny maroon poison in our food. Ruined nail polish for me, FOR LIFE. So so so disgusting.
See? See? This is why I don't wear nail polish. Imagine going to a restaurant and finding that! Grrrrooooooooooossssssssss
