if the girl is comfortable, who am i to complain and make them wear something they don't want to wear. let them wear whatever they want to...

The main reason it's unattractive, in my opinion, is because it's often worn by people who believe they're making some sort of fashion statement, when really they are buying into the same mindless ideology of the "superficial" people they supposedly loathe. They are simply buying into a different cliche, though it's still exactly that; a cliche. Instead of wearing $90 jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch, they're wearing a $90 peasant dress from Gypsy Rose.

Then again, I am sure there are some people who will claim that they make their own "hippy" clothes.

i wish i was creative enough to make my own clothes... of any type.

 

fuck it. all my clothes come from kmart or the thrift store. sometimes ill go to aj wright or value city, but mostly the thrift store. and concert and band tshirts. ill pay 20 bones for an iron maiden shirt.

 

I wear clothes from either the second hand store or clothes that were handed up to me by my youngest brother. does that make me a hippy?

 

I have a couple of iron maiden tour shirts.

i just got like 15 pairs of jeans from my brothers father. theyre mostly perfect too.

That is exactly the hypocrisy I don't like.

I can say that i prefer other fashions over hippie rags, including thrift store, nothing wrong with thrift store

 

i buy all kinds of skirts because that's pretty much all i wear but other then that i only shop at thift stores or cheap stores, hand me down, shows, etc.

speakers that are all ripped to hell and should be in the trash.

some things in the thrift store should really not be sold

 

yeah I get hand me ups, so what?? some of its from A&F and american eagle, hollisters even, I dont care, its free, and its comfortable. it may have fallen out of the trend 5 years ago, but do I care? nope.
