Don't go to see her! Find someone more respectful of you, your choices, and your body.

Ergh, OK. If or when she asks you anything you don't want to explain, just politely but firmly respond "For personal reasons, I don't want to discuss it", and if she pushes you further, be vocal and tell her that she's making you uncomfortable. Stay firm.

What's the rush though? I mean, why couldn't you wait until you found a better doctor?

I see. Well good luck getting through this visit with her and hopefully you can find a better doctor before the next time you need a check up.

Nymphette - sometimes silence is golden...go to see her, but don't take the bait if she interrogates you about your sexual practices. It is your body, and you are only having sex with one guy, whom you have been with for three years.

Just focus on what you want - a health checkup so that you can be approved for the contraceptives you want and need. If she asks personal but disapproving questions, look at her but don't answer, unless you have to answer to get what you want.

find another doctor. you live in canada, its not like youre restricted by your health/insuarnce coverage to only one doctor. if she asks just say you found someone closer/easier to give you the bc. if she starts into a tirade again tell her youre aware of the risks, you remember teh speeches from before and dont need to hear them again. but seriously, youre in canada, go find another doctor, just call and see if a doctor near your house is accepting new patients and make an appointment

glad to hear it smoothed over.

But seriously, if your doctor is making you uncomfortable or whatnot, as hard as it may be, go find yourself another doctor. Always is best to see someone you're compatable with.
