I have the same prob Alisha, SoaringEagle recommended the sea salt/lemon juice spray (which I have tried a couple of times already) left in for 1-3 hours then rinsed out. Gonna try it in a few days as I don't like to wash it too often! Once a week is enough for me.

Dr Bronners made my skin go all funny. i also have oily hair, and have found that Herbal Essences works the best and makes my hair the knottiest. It might be full of crap, but I don't care :)

I notice my hair gets quite oily too.. I'm washing with Dr. Bonners Tea Tree soap. It is hotter than hades here in the south.. and furthermore I keep the thermostat set on 78 degrees to save energy, and that can make me get rather sweaty at night. I have sometimes washed my hair 2 or even 3 times a week, but I've been trying to wash it only once a week because that seems to be the general consensus on what is best for locking up dreads...
If I changed my routine to wash them more regularly.. like every 2 days.. would that make them fall out or cause any bad problems? They're still in their infancy, but I'm certainly getting some noticable knots.. I really would like to wash a bit more often.

I have the same problem with Bronners, try using bicarbonate of soda, it works for me!

When ya'll mention Dr Bronners are you talking about the liquid soaps or are you using a hair specific soap made by Dr Bronners? Just making sure I bought the right stuff cuz I also have oily hair but have not used the product yet.

not the hair specifuic... the classic 18 in 1 magic soap
liquid prefferabley and diluted 12 psarts wayter 1 part dr b

has any1 tried mixin just a lil bakin soda or bicarb )(are they the same thing? never was sure) in with the diluted bronners?

addin a lil baking soda to launbdry deotergent or toothpast doubles the cleaning power so maybe worth a shot with bronners

Ugh, I have the opposite problem. My hair is so dry and flaky that I think I'm going to stop using Bronner's for a little bit. I have another type of hemp shampoo that I barely used (I got Bronner's right after wards) and I think it might add some more moisture to my hair. Hopefully (it's for dry and frizzy hair, so it should work).

dude... why do so many of you recommend bronners for everything?! lol. NO! For oily-prone hair bronners is NOT the best choice and is probably part of the problem.

A baking soda wash will work wonders for this issue.
