i got my first speeding ticked this morning at 7:05 on the way to school 76 in a 55 argh i don't even speed very often :& my mom'll be pissed and my mom is never pissed yikes oh well i suppose

Least your laws aren't as strict as here... but you could still get your license suspended for that in NC (fifteen over with a limit of fifty-five or over). Not using a turn signal is reckless driving, here... plus they don't allow radar detectors, speeding cars do not have right of way at an intersection, and you go to jail for driving over 90 on an interstate.

well, yes, but smiling doesn't take away the fact that, ya know.....i got a ticket and no pauly, i'm no speed demon, i used to be anyways, but i'm not now the ironic thing was (the thing i hate the most) is that this is what i thought in my head before getting pulled: "ya know, i don't speed cuz i'm in a hurry, i speed sometimes because, well, just because, but ya know...maybe i should slow down now...i feel like something might happen.............................oh man, that sorta looks like an unmarked -" damn but yeah, as george said, i can lose my license i have to go get my speedometer calibrated, 1) because that's apparently the procedure anyways and 2) i'm sure it's off anyhow because i had no clue i was going THAT fast but...who knows agh
You have shit speed laws in the states.... Next summer my friends and I are driving to Italy via Germany, no speed limits on the *insert german equivalent of a freeway...autobahn?* !!!

In Québec , the law says that speed limit on a freeway is 100 km/h but the cops will only give you tickets if you drive over 110 km/h ... It's terrible how cops set up speed traps specifically when people are going to school in the morning. I remember how they'd always wait at these specific places to and from school, so everyone would always slow down there (our 35 mph limit was ridiculous on that huge road), especially if they were going to or coming from school. ~Nova
