    Now I am even more confused, having never heard of any of them.

    It is the one downside of the internet that members come from all over the world. However learning about other peoples culture more than makes up for it.

    His name was Ken Osmond. After the show, he became a Los Angeles motorcycle police officer. He retired after getting shot five times in the line of duty.

    He was one of the actors on Leave It To Beaver. The TV show was on in the USA back in the 1950s and 1960s.

    Not television series that managed to cross the 'pond' so I never saw them and therefore never knew him.

    It was an early sit-com with pre-teen age kids in a beautiful all American suburban life. You can see shows on the net. Google Leave It To Beaver.
