No goa parties? That must be annoying.. they're pretty fun, and we have a lot of them in the Netherlands.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a goa party?! Maybe I just never heard the term??? Or maybe I went to one and tripped so hard that I forgot it happened?!

Ill certainly give it a try, but as far as trance goes theres abunch of kinds, but you can sort of split it into trance and ambient. Ambient is just more technical and relaxing. Really good trance is stuff like Infected Mushroom, Hallucinogen, some Raja ram and stuff lke that.

Shpongle is probably my favorite music (more ambient than trancelike) to listen to at the moment, its beutiful:) The latter half of the album Tales of the Inexpressible is great to listen to on Mushrooms
Mystery of the Yeti is good
    Celtic Cross

And actually ratatat doesnt really fit in with the others but its good just the same

Im going to check them all out man! THanks :)

Alice stuff is pretty trancey in a way, its Indian style fuzed with jazz. I think its amazing, and that people into that style NEED to hear it.
Also, the albums Blue Lake and Orient by Don Cherry are my favorite world music/jazz. Don Cherry on trumpet, piano, and vocals (though they are more like african, turkish, and indian chants) Johnny Dyani on Bass, and Okay Temiz on drums. NO ONE I have ever heard comes close to Okay on drums man, but you have to hear to see what I mean and the albums are very, very rare.

Heya Krsna and asilos. I've been following your posts in a few threads for a bit, and I'm really interested in your musical tastes. You both seem pretty genuinely awesome, so I figure it's something worth looking into :p. If either if you feel like taking the time to send me a PM about some styles/genres and specific artists I'd love to hear what you have to say. :)

Just to stay on topic and not hijack the thread...hope you find another source and have fun if you hang out with Krsna :p.
