Oh No! The Real Rosie the Riveter Has Died

I never knew she was based on a real person. I've always been sort of fascinated by the US "homefront" during ww2. Great contributor to the woman's movement, whether intentional or not. All of us should have lotsa respect for these tough ol' broads.

Most of the vets are gone or leaving too.

 

Another hole in society never to be filled again. God rest, Rosie.

 

I know, so sad... we're about to lose a big important chunk of history. I just hope all the memoirs, interviews, documentaries, museum exhibits, etc over the years sufficiently tells their story
