As expected Demaryius Thomas did sign a one-year contract with the Patriots, however backup QB Hoyer is gone he signed with the Colts.

Now the Colts starter and backup QB are former Patriots - interesting

49ers have a wonky schedule. With the bye week included, they only have 1 division game for the entire first half of the season.

Only one division game in the first half, should make for an interesting close to the season.

For the longest time people have been criticizing the Patriots for being in a weak division, and yet outside of the division they have a winning percentage of .780

 

When you essentially get half the season off playing teams in your weak division, it's easier to gear up for the tougher teams who have had to grind against other tough teams every week.
