I have went totally off the rails these last few days in terms of my diet. Since Monday night leading into Tuesday (my 35th birthday) I have been eating and drinking stuff I normally would avoid. These past few days I have consumed copious amounts of beer, pizza and chicken wings. I have eaten fast food and have also drank a fair amount of soda and Red Bull, which is definitely not the norm for me. Yesterday I had the most delicious breakfast I have ever had, which consisted of Nutella stuffed french toast, and was probably at least an entire day's worth of carbs (and calories). But hey, sometimes you've gotta have fun. Today it's back to the gym and back on the proverbial wagon.
I'm glad you got to enjoy some food you like and are able to get back eating and exercising healthily. It seems so easy to let go. I personally have never gained weight easily so have never endured the diet struggle (don't hate me).
Good for you! It's nice to see you become more flexible with your diet. And happy birthday, Matt! 35, halfway to 40. Man.
happy b-day.... curious, how did you feel, energy, lethargy, etc? since I have changed my diet radically if I binge on junk, I usually feel like crap. oh and I'm 54, so that's halfway to dead.
^well over halfway to dead, actually..if we're talking average lifespan. I feel like shit whenever I binge on junk food too. I eat fast food about once a week whenever I inevitably forget to bring my lunch to work. My energy level usually crashes pretty hard in the afternoon on those days.
I feel like crap today. I feel tired and lethargic despite getting 9 and a half hours of sleep. It's taking me forever to get my work done tonight.
guess your body doesn't like the yummy junk as much as the tongue does....LOL sucks when yummy goodness is full of badness...
Good that people mentioned it's your birthday because I surely hadn't noticed Congrats on this achievement! That we may take notice of your presence for many many years to come :cheers2: Personally I see having fun as a distraction to keep us from focussing on the truth, epecially when it is by giving in to unhealthy sugary foods that makes you so lethargic you won't have time to keep up with the truth for the whole next day! Or even worse: when it makes you feel obliged to spend hours at the gym at a regular basis! But.... it's your life! (im kidding homie )
