How many doses would 3 kilos of fresh pedro be, if you dried and did a simple ethanol extraction? I was thinking 5 or 6 would that be right? Of course this is just for the sake of knowledge.
Three kilos can yield roughly 36 grams of mescaline HCl in an A/B extraction. That is About 90 doses.
That is a difficult question to answer. The weight of a cactus can vary DRAMATICALLY based on how much moisture it is holding. And of course, since water is not indicative of mescaline content, it would be hard to tell accurately. But yes, I would guess around 5 or 6 doses.
Doesnt it evaporate to one 1/10th of is fresh weight. and a kilogram is 1000 grams giving you 100 grams of cactus skin. And thats minus the cactus core. the fresh weight of cactus skins only. 100 grams of dried cactus skins results in 3-10 300mg does.
I wish it was that simple. The amount of water in the cactus can increase and decrease drastically, without affecting the amount of plant matter. Therefor, there's no way of putting a ratio on cactus. The 1/10 rule does apply to P. Cubensis though =0)
Just for the sake of knowledge; 3 kilos of fresh wet cactus is about 7 pounds of fresh cut cactus. A 12 inch fresh cutting 3 inches in diameter is maybe 3 pounds. So you have like maybe 2 twelve inch cuttings. The indians say that 12 to 18 inches of fresh cutting is a single dose. But this is a light dose. You have less than 3 light doses. For one person, you have one good strong dose. Swim alcohol extracted 6 feet of cactus and split between two people. Also, newly cut healthy cactus are considered to be 75% water... Or so Ive heard...
