    Lights are getting brighter
    You look really tall
Shadows are dancing on the wall
    Everything is so cool
    Relax before take-off
    Get ready for fun
    I'm tripping so hard
    Can you feel it?

    Are you seeing this too?
    Can I bum another smoke?
    I really need a cigarette
Do you know where we are?

    Delusional? Me? No way!
    I'm tripping so hard
Eh? Sorry I need to get my space
    Together
Have you seen the rainbow swirls?
You should try closing your eyes
    Look at that!
A man sitting on my stereo cabinet
    Man, this is awesome
    I'm tripping so hard
    Damn I want some more
    Everyday

I know I could have done a lot better, and I will. I just had to get this one out of me. It may have more meaning than you realize though.

I wrote a poem about acid once, and I found it. I was never really good at it, I like writing, but not writing poetry. Here it is:

    First came a ripple,
    that set my vessel astray.
    Next was the wave,
that sent my crew on their way.

Now, my vision is a blur,
    as the storm swarms closer.
Have i prepared myself for this day?

Out here, in the darkest of seas,
    through prisms, fierce lightning strikes.
The storm forces me to surrender
to death, and embrace that light.

    Like the omniscient storm that
sits in the seat of my soul, has
    death shown me life?

That was one of the first poems I can ever remember writing with the intent in mind of adding layers of complexity to a poem.
