c'mon... so how come this virus hasn't been as prevalent in any other culture for thousands of years? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,482788,00.html
viruses mutate. i don't see how showing that a few people get fatter from a virus is any less believable that people getting polio. they still have to treat the problem, don't they?
Well this sucks. Booshnoogs woke up with a sore throat yesterday. He's going to be a big fat cow now, he just knows it.
Sorry, but what nonsense.I glanced at the article--who are these so-called scientists? These so-called experts sound like the very people something like Big Pharma would love to have working for them.In other words BS artists.
that's just because all you people don't want to believe that there might be a couple of people out there with a legit excuse. it doesn't change the fact that they can and should lose weight. just that it's not something they brought upon themselves. we love love love to mock those fat people and blame them for it. even these people are to blame if they stay fat, but they didn't eat their way into it like we all love to believe.
Personally, I don't believe it's (obesity) is always due to over-eating. Thyroid issues can come into play, as well as being simply genitically prone to a larger frame. However, the virus thing, I have a really difficult time believing that! It just seems extremely far fetched and more of a grasping at straws excuse than anything else. JMHO!
like i said, i don't see how it's any less believable that some virus can cause a person's body to create more fat cells than some virus can cause your entire body to turn upon itself. it's still not an excuse for staying fat.
Also I'd love to ask these 'scientists'(idiots) where was this virus 20+ years ago when most Americans were NOT overweight?AND why is this virus not in many other countries where the majority of the population is NOT overweight?
hello, sweets, viruses mutate ALL THE TIME. you think the asian flu we have today is the same as the asian flu we had 30 years ago?
heh. well, it's like denying the existance of HIV, SARS or the bird flu because they weren't around 100 years ago. so what? again, they can fight their obesity. nothing in that study says anything about people not having to treat the condition properly.
