Wait, I thought this guy was talking about decriminalizing only a month or so ago?

 

haven't you realized by now that political figures say things that make them seem popular and then pull a 180...

I've never put much stock in what political figures say, nor am I about to start, but.. I dunno, I guess this administration is supposed to be all about change rolleyes and it's just weird to me that they'd say one thing and then something else entirely only a couple months later.. and I'm sure saying that didn't make them seem popular in the eyes of most folk..

 

This is a big blow though... because a lot of people thought he was gonna make a stride in the whole legalization of marijuana because he was sorta pro-marijuana in the past.. but obviously things have changed

 

I'd wager they've caught a lot of flak from the conservatives for airing the issue, and so have decided to change their stance.

Are they still going to leave the medical mj states alone?

Decriminalizing it (removing certain legal penalties - encouraging treatment rather than incarceration, for users) is not the same as saying it has any medical benefit.

 

Alcohol is dangerous and has no medical value.
Tobacco is dangerous and has no medical value.

Such hypocrisy.

 

Both are decriminalised.
