Why wouldn't they be called Bushphones then if Bush added cell phones to an already existing program...

I'm not an Obama supporter, just asking a logical question. Oh yeah... Logic, something that is no longer in use.

I'm not an Obama supporter either. Does it really make a difference what they're called? Call them whatever the hell you want, it doesn't change the issue.

Just sayin'. That probably came off as abrasive. It wasn't meant to be, I'm just pointing out that it's not relevant.

It is relevant. It sends a message as to who to blame.
But then again you pulled it off Faux news so that reflects on you right off the bat.

Why not just call them welfare phones eh?

That wouldn't be very fun would it

This programme seems to go back a long way so like tyrsonswood i'd ask why it has become Obamaphone?

I mean its called Obamaphone in the clips which seems inaccurate and also the problem seems to be corporations or individual mis-selling the phones, who are these’ venders’ who are lying and cheating and clearly breaking the law -and wasn’t some work done on why they were pushing these phones rather than going straight to shouting ‘Obamaphone’ I mean how is that Obama’s fault directly?

Even welfare phone doesn’t seem appropriate call them what they are Lifeline Phones.

I’m all for stopping abuse but this just seems like political positioning.

And according to the lifeline website

    http://www.fcc.gov/lifeline

The government plans to create “eligibility databases from governmental data sources, enabling fully automated verification of consumers’ initial and ongoing Lifeline eligibility. This would reduce the potential for fraud while cutting red tape for consumers and providers. A database based on the three most common federal benefit programs through which consumers qualify for Lifeline will be created no later than the end of 2013”

Along with a hold load of other reforms to try and stop abuse.

So in a way the government is already on it. Has this been mentioned by the presenters of this 'scandle' and if not why not?

here's the thing... this is nothing new, gub-ment programs are usually rife with abuse in one form or another. it's an inherent property of bureaucracy.

blaming Obama for yet another mismanaged gov't program is like blaming some random person on the street for taking advantage of it. but i suppose we could also say that George Dubya doesn't give a flying fuck about people that are desperate.
    Neither extreme is true.

but i gotta say it makes for some good laughs.

Hey buddy! Don't be talking to me like that! I support the Right to Bear arms, it doesn't make me "Trigger happy." And FWI the "Masses" is actually the republicans and Democrats, there are not "masses" opposed to our government. (There's probably only a small percentage who see the truth.)

But even my Dr. has said there's a conspiracy afoot; obviously the majority of individuals are yet to wake up to reality.

I suppose you think 9-11 was an inside job and right to bear arms somehow referred to personal automatic assault weapons that never existed at that time.

No, but Americans had better guns than our oppressors... See where I'm getting at?

Freedom is freedom; there is no compromise for it. Yes, citizens should be able to own wtvr guns they want, as long as they don't hurt people in the process.

But plenty of Mexican drug cartels have fully automatics in this country, do you think we should be less armed than terrorist groups around us? That's silly. Laws like this create a NEED for government (cause there is no legitimate one)

Oh, as long as they don't hurt people...

Alrighty then, I must have been misinformed.

    hmmm.

So what's the real score then, I can't seem to find it...

    Mexicans VS Americans,

    On killing Americans.

well thought you were all talking about obama phones.

yes i have one. the company that does it absolutely sucks.

there are 3 companies that do obama phones.

basically if you live in florida, and have foodstamps you get an obama phone.

and dont worry,,, the phone really freaking sucks,, it's not like they are giving out iphones or anything,, just basic crappy phones.

Yeah, but people like getting free stuff from tax payers. Even if the quality is pure shit. Lots of people find it easier to settle for less. Why do you think so many people are happy on welfare?

I told my woman I didn't want a phone because they're just a pain in the ass for me, so she got me one of those phones anyway. It gets better service around here than hers. hahaha

I wish people wouldn't abuse the system.

you cant even give this phone number out. IF you start using it for Online Jobs. You may as well throw it away. All Online applications sell your phone numbers. Youll be getting all kinds of spam calls, other than "come in for an interview"// ..

6days ago, I had 250min .. down to 90mins now. it will be dead before the 15th. it always is..

Its a Joke.. better off with a Verizon Home Land Life Line. http://www.verizon.com/Support/Resi...rvice/95830.htm?CMP=DMC-CVZ_ZZ_ZZ_Z_ZZ_N_Z103 But its been around before bush and obama.

lol Lodog.. The phone actually has good reception..
