Obama: More Practical and Less Liberal

Obama came into office representing the constituency of the Democratic party. Having secured his second term, he has not done much for homosexuals or much anything. He is ready to deal with China and seems about to shut down Guatanamo prison camps. Obama has grown in office and is not liberal much any more. He seems like a conventional president and has no interest in making drastic changes to society.

 

He's not allowed to make drastic changes to society. He's a puppet just like all those others that came before him.

 

Sure he is, but only if it's in line with what his handlers want. Obama is making some pretty drastic changes, and not for the better.

 

What's he supposed to do for homosexuals?


The only issue I can think of is marriage:

After more than a couple of years saying that his views on marriage equality were “evolving,” he told ABC News’s Robin Roberts, “At a certain point, I just concluded that for me, personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think that same-sex couples should be able to get married.” With those simple words, the president kicked off a remarkable year in gay history.

What drastic changes did you expect?

 

I am encouraging comments. Liberal democrats expect the old order to be swept aside every time they vote, but so far it has never happened. Democratic nominees are generally politicians pretending to be left.
