    hippiehillbilly, he sounded very tired.
    We all make mistakes.
Does this really deserve to be mocked or ridiculed?
    If so, why?

You guys must really hate Obama... And all he's done is try to help get this country back into shape. McCain is far from that goal. Or if he is, he's predictably jumping on that band wagon to save face.

i stated it was obvious he was very tired or on drugs..

and,,yes he does.. because he is a politician,he is a public figure, and he is running for the highest office in the land..

if folks can mock and ridicule ole G.W. for his stupidity i see no reason why obama should be any different..

    moronic behavior should be ridiculed..

happens to me all the time.. lol

oh and on a side note..
as president one of the down sides is sleep deprivation..
if this is how he acts when hes being deprived of sleep, then you better get used to this kind of idiocy, because if hes elected your gonna see a whole lot more of it.. lol
well theres one thing to look forward to if hes elected.. LMAO..

    I'd say very tired.

I suspect he has corrected himself since then, and had a laugh about it.
It just seems rather weak to pick up on this point.
A lot of the mocking of GWB starts this way and finds no end.
Yes, mock him, but for this?
We can do better than this, surely.
It is not moronic behaviour is it? It is just a faux pas.

oh no if he corrected this the media would be all over it.. hes there darling dont ya know???

    lol

oh trust me theres gonna be plenty more to mock and ill be laughin all the way..

and yes id say it was a pretty moronic statement being the way it was stated and the fact that he didnt catch it.

yes sir ,,good enough for G.W. its good enough for obama...

If he did, I'm sure he'd have the dignity to publically admit his mistake, rather than pretend like it didn't exist or no one saw it.

    Err, heh.

Did he visit Puerto Rico and Guam twice or something? Maybe he visited PA twice. Dunno. If I was campaigning every single day for the past 6 months straight, I'd lose count of how many effing states I'd have to go through if I were running for the position of El Presidenté del la U S of A.

Who do you want to see on TV for the next four years telling you we're in a world of poopies?

Thats about the extent your vote matters in the United States anymore.

Well, I don't know if he has. It hardly grabbed the headlines here.
I know he is there darling ;)
I still see it as a mere faux pas...but ramp it up as you like.

he meant to say 47, from the video he clearly realized this, but continued on.
it's what they taught us in speech class, and it really is better just to continue than to bring attention to a mistake, especially one of that length. it keeps the flow going, if you catch my meaning. If he had caught himself early on, when he said fifty instead of forty, then a correction wouldn't have disrupted his speech too much. the people on live newscasts do the same thing, at least the more experienced ones.

I doubt Mccain would do a better job.

What about Mccain saying that bringing troops home doesn't matter ? Or when he said , verbatim , "I don't understand the economy". Yep sure sounds like a fine president to me. How bout the puncuational errors in your thread title ? Let's be pretentious about that too eh ?
