I thought it was well established that these kind of sports supplements drinks were very bad for you. Gym junkies dying from heart strokes and heart failures in their early twenties due to increased heart rates etc. so they can perform "ultra skin splitting pumps!" At the gym, bro.

The article is about nutritional supplement drinks like Ensure -- not sports supplement drinks. Most pre-workout drinks are just caffeine, BCAAs and nasty artificial sweeteners and colors. But yeah, stuff like Ensure is toxic garbage, which I have always known. Mostly the stuff is consumed by the elderly who don't generally eat much, as a sort of meal replacement.

The only thing that it has on butter is that its never too hard/thick to smear on your sandwich. With butter that came out of the fridge too late you tear up the whole slice of bread...

That's because butter contains saturated fats that become solid below a certain temperature.

Margarine is simply inflammatory omega-6 vegetable oils, and they are composed of unsaturated fats, which is why they remain liquid in colder temps.

Those who truly care about health and are knowledgeable of it know that saturated fats from whole food sources are so much healthier than heavily refined vegetable oils, but go to the Mayo Clinic's website and they well tell you the opposite, that vegetable oils are "heart healthy" just because they don't contains saturated fats -- as if saturated fat consumption by itself leads to heart disease.

Processed foods, which are loaded with these nasty oils, are far more responsible for heart disease than meat and butter.

    But I digress.

(Sorry for my margarine rant everyone. I am TRIGGERED!!! hahaha...)

Soup is always good for people who are ill or in recovery. When I say soup I mean soup made from bones and other raw ingredients.

Soup is good, meal replacement drinks are bad. Well if you actually use them instead of your normal meals. But one rarely needs them anyway in the way a good soup can benefit you.

You need bones to make stock. How good a soup is depends on how good the stock is.
