Nudity Laws

I always hear of people going nude in public (like on a city street). I was just wondering what the laws are regarding this? I mean, of course it's illegal, but how much trouble would you get in for it? Just curious. lol Feel free to share any stories.

 

i live in a rather conservative community. i doubt it would be that mild.

 

There's a guy right now who's doing "nude yoga" publicly at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and the authorities there say it's legal.

A lot of states don't have laws that describe exactly what's "indecent" and in those places, courts may or may not say it's a crime to be nude if there's no intention of anything sexual. But still it's probably true that being naked on a remote beach would be different from being naked on a city street.

Right now it is a state by state matter. Many states are treating public nudity as sex crime for which you have to register if convicted, and many more are moving in the direction of adopting similar laws or strengthening existing laws. With President Bush (thankfully) in the office and the general trend towards stronger morality, I expect to see a federal law prescribing similar punishment in the next 1-2 years.

 

what is wrong with the beautiful naked body?

 

Some people find nudity and overt sexuality offensive. If you don't, that is your opinion. But you shouldn't force it upon others.

Additionally, exposing yourself to a minor is a crime from legal standpoint and a heinous thing to do altogether in my not so humble opinion. I can tolerate lots of things, but three I won't: people of either sex abusing their spouses, pushers selling drugs to kids and sexual corruption of minors...

 

i do not force my beliefs upon others. i think it is a beautiful thing that each person has something special that they can call their own. i think its cool that they have special places where people can be naked and congregate and be happy.

what about breast feeding in public? any laws on that?

Bush and Ashcroft are trying to squash freedoms to go nude. You can have your gun if you keep your clothes on. Ashcroft can't even stand that statue in his office with the naked breast. Only one nudist camp in Texas. Pfft.

Bush and Ashcroft have no business being in any position of power or having any say in the important issues of our country because they both are out for themselves and dont care about anyone's rights or freedoms.

 

I agree Mike. A friend of mine never votes because he does not believe in handing power and faith into one man other than God. Why do these fucks want to be demanding over us?
