okay you clearly don't understand at all!

this was my first lesson.... we were suppose to be doing LINE drawings.. and SIMPLIFYING... simplification of an object or person which looks convincing and good quality is hard. whatever you may choose to believe about them, personally i really loved it and think what i came out with was really quite good, even my lecturer said so...

another thing.. how much drawing can you honestly do in 2-5mins?

every drawing is made up of lines. Dont make excuses for your art. Teachers shouldnt have to tell you its good thats when you know its horrible and you need improvement. Its when they tell you alot of things wrong with your work is when you know your getting good. Most of my human sketches are done in less than a minute.

yeah life drawing used totire me out!
we did 4 hour life drawing sessions at my college and we hadto ahve at least 20 A1 pages!!!!!!

i was best at the angular type work, rather than swoooopy lines and shades and blah blah bloah!!!!

but it taught mealot on perpectives etc.
also looking at anatomy books helped a bit too

    thats it... thats fucking it.
i give up with this forums completetly...

the teachers do cristise me and they compliment me... its about both... WELL DONE you for being able to do whatever it is you do... for fuck sake crawl out your arse and show some decency... i have been nice, but i give up.

constructive cristism is fine by me, but plain big headedness and insults are just worthless...

Don't freak out about it Dandelion, Your work is fine, and only perserverence and dealing with adversity is going to get you farther. I have gotten so much crappy comments in my life about my work that I don't even agree with but I take from it anyway and move on.

You're doing wonderful, so keep your head up high and don't be so sensitive. An artist knows their own work is good enough, they don't need reassurance.

So smile your the real critic of your work.

    :)

Art appreciation is completely subjective. I like your sketches.

I wonder what would be the price today of, say, Van Gogh's first pencil sketches?

No one on here can handle critisizm! not pointing fingers but someones got to flip out like they've never heard anything but good news about what they do. Gimmie a break. I dont know what a numpty is but whatever i just dont like the sharades, shangangnaganisn whatever you want to call this. There is no such thing about constructive critisizm its just someone thats "nice" or wants to come off as "nice" without being rude. Screw the fore-play these drawings look like they could have been done by a two year old or even a smart animal that knows how to hold a pencil.
