Are your rights really being attacked though? There have been suggestions to ban the manufacturing of assault style rifles..No one has suggested you can't buy or own one. machine gun manufacturing was banned in the 80s although you can still legally by them if you can find and afford them. Do you feel as if the banning of manufacturing new machine guns interferes with your rights as well?

I guess I just don't really follow that logic. If assault rifles are no longer manufactured, what is different about that then when the constitution was written? Did they have less rights than we do because they didn't have the same choice of guns as we do today?

Wow, pro or against gun control, you lose the argument just because you're so snarky and hateful about it.

Gun nuts want a target, something to fight, even when there's nothing there.... these are the same people who want assault weapons. they just want violence.

That principal is an idiot. The first rule is you don't 'show off' your guns. Especially if you don't know how to handle the thing.

Damn that's a big carry weapon. I like smaller guns. G27 gen4 or beretta nano, depends on my mood.

Personally I feel that they are. What happens if I want to buy a new lower receiver? And even if manufacturing were banned and possession not, supply and demand would drive the prices up to where the average person couldn't afford one. Plus it just does not make sense to me. Handguns account for more violence by far, are more easily concealed, and operate the same. It's just too arbitrary to me.

And the argument about the when the constitution was written doesn't make sense to me either. Should electronic communication not be protected under the first amendment since the internet didn't exist back then?

You couldn't be more wrong. But think what you want.

DEA agent accidentally fires a gun in a classroom.

No need to worry about his career. It's rumored that the FBI later hired him for raids as a specialist to climb over main gates that were already unlatched and open.

"I will carry my gun onto your property, and shoot you if you don't like it".

You have a remarkable lawyer, I guess, but no matter how good a lier he is, they are well within their rights to tell you to keep your guns off of their private property. It stops being your right when it starts being their property.

Yep, you're exactly why we need stricter gun control.

The glock 27 (.40) is super small but the thing is that it has the staggered glock mag so it's kind of thick and prints sometimes. The nano (9mm) is fucking badass and thin, have you seen them yet they are kind of new. That's become my favorite carry weapon because of the single stack mag.

I usually go with my hi point c9 9mm. I have had alot of maching to fix its problems and its dead on. Had it for 10 years. Or the glock two7 .40. Usually the SNS one though for reasons.

Where do you pull your BS from? Out of your ass?

I dont make a deal of it, Have only had one person try and alter my right and sense of security. After a couple conversations and one call, I was able to go on my way.

If im on your property i dont flash it around or bring it up for that matter. But if you go bat shit crazy on me, Ill put three center mass. But thats if i cant leave and its un-avoidable.

Do you thibk a criminal is going to even look to see? Fuck no. Hes in a place for a reason with intent to harm others and im not going down with out a fight. Plus the places you are talking about, Seems the owners dont care when a permit holder stops a criminal.

Believe what you want to, Its not like your going to stop anything.

Not quite the same story you had a little while ago... Now you're making an effort to be more sociable, but keep the aggression up at the same time, to avoid the appearance of change.

Anyways, nothing you say changes the fact that it's simply not your right to carry a weapon on private property if the owner does not wish it. Even if it was your right, it would be hugely disrespectful of his property rights. But it's not your right. Doesn't matter what your lawyer said on the phone to who, it's not your right to carry on the property of someone who does not want you to.

This is not a matter of gun rights, I'm in favor of the right to carry all you please. This is a matter of property rights, and you have a hugely disrespectful (and somewhat dangerous) attitude about the rights of others and your rights trumping them.

You spin it like id walk into your house and pull out my firearm and lay it down to talk! Very far from the truth.

If its a a friends house, Depending, Ill either leave or leave it in a hidden spot in the vehicle.
If its a business, Im not leaving it for nobody. I dont care how many stickers and signs they have, Can they guarantee 100% safety? If they can i will, But thats never going to happen is it?

You can live in your world and ill live in mine. Seems i have good luck, Seems you have a good run too.

    Is that business privately owned?

I think that the libertarian thing to do is business on the business owner's terms, and if their terms hurt their business, they will change those terms. You are not obligated to frequent that business.

The only time I'd pull out a gun is if someone had a deadly weapon and was trying to kill me or someone else. Or armed robbery. I know how to fight so that's last resort.

I've never seen a business here saying no firearms, except gun shops say no loaded firearms. So you drop the mag, clear it and lock the action back before going in. If I did see that I would respect it.

Thats differnt, If that was the case i dont chamber a round so id drop the mag and put it in my pocket. If they want to see if its clear, Thats fine.

A gun store is the last place loose ammo needs to be anyway. Thats asking for ol' barney to shoot a hole in the roof if lucky and not a person or themselves.

No I mean if I saw a regular store with a sign I would leave it in the car. Which I do half the time anyway. But nobody around here cares, they like ccw because they know if someone is coming in to rob the place or kill they aren't going to listen to a damn sign anyway.

    Precisely.

You have no respect for private property rights, but want people to have SO much respect for your gun rights that they trump other people's property rights.

By contrast, I have no problem with deviate's answers, they're perfectly logical.
