So today I'm at jewel (which is basically the local grocery store around here) and the lady in front of me was checking out. She had 2 bottles of cough syrup, and when the cashier scanned the 2nd one, some kind of warning came up on the screen saying do not sell, and I saw the letters DEA on the screen. It caused a delay because the manager had to come and bypass it or something. And the real funny part is, she got the cough syrup @ a 2-for-1 deal! How fucked up is that? The government wasted 5 minutes of my life...damn.
I've never heard of a register rejecting large-DXM purchases...last time I did an extraction, I got everything (two 8 oz.ers, bottle of ammonia, vit C, etc.) at the same time at Lowe's Foods. The cashier ringing me up grinned and nodded at me and said "I know what YOU'RE doin'!" Then I carried the bag out to my car, and while crossing the road a cop stopped and let my by.
The pharmacies are going nuts about certain OTC drugs now. I was at my pharmacy yesterday (to get two scheduled drugs) and the dude in front of me, who, I am not making this up, was buying NYQUIL was given more questions than me with my two controls. They have ALL the psudafedadrine behind the counter now, and the dude wanted two bottles, because he and his wife were sick. I skated by with my scheduled pain killers and this dude was given the third degree for Nyquil. Wonders never cease. Robo, do you live in DuPage County? Things are about the worst in DuPage. Damn Republicans.
im my town your not allowed to by white out if your under 16 but i can walk into riteaid and buy dramamine, dph, and dmx
I think that the cough syrup that the lady bought had pseudoephedrine in it, which is what they're trying to control right? And Maggie Sugar yes I live in Dupage County...Carol Stream to be exact. What about you?
In the walgreens here they are not allowed to sell you more than 2 bottles, my friend works there and he was like if you ring up more than 2 then it brings up a alert on the screen.
Yeah, I had that problem at Wal*Mart a few years back when I tried buying 4 boxes of Sudafed; the lady just rang 'em up on seperate orders. *lol*
Meh, here where I live the Feds knock down 4-5 meth labs a week...so people are generally pretty loose about laws when it comes to meth precursors and the like.
I have no problems buying dxm products, I have bought all the tussin they had at walmart at once before, like 9 bottles. I was doing an extraction. I can't buy more than 2 boxes of sudafed at a time though.
a few years ago me and some middle school buddies went to our local Albertson's (which is now a Publix) and they refused to allow us to buy duct tape "because it had hemp in it" and "you could smoke it"..... what a fucking joke! we proceeded to walk less than 100 ft to a Walgreens to not only joke about it to the cashier there, but purchase our beloved duct tape. i dont remember why we needed it,but probably just about anything BESIDES smoke it. that was the last thing on our minds. jeez has anyone heard of smoking duct tape to get high!??!!??? blah
i'd've dropkicked that cashier in the face. im pretty sure duct tape doesnt have hemp in it, and even if you did, people dont smoke hemp. hemp plants are bred for thick stalks, not thc content. you'd die if you smoked duct tape.
I was in Jewel today. ALL the meds with pseudofed were not on the shelves, YET, the plain, unadulterated DXM pills and liquids were right out there in the open. (I was buying lip balm, anyway.) I REFUSE to use the pharmacy at Jewel Osco, all the pharamcists think they are Junior DEA agents. Walgreens has all the pseudofed meds locked up, too. Yeah, a hell of a lotta METH LABS here in old DuPage......Sheesh. (I am being sarcastic, I don't think there has been a meth lab bust here, ever.)
It's like this everywhere here in our county. The pharmacist was almost apologetic to the dude, but still, it was NYQUIL! mean, good buzz, I guess, if you like drooling on yourself, but who is going to really abuse it? OTOH, I get no flack from my Herculean amounts of pain meds from most of the pharmacists there (excepting one....) But they know me pretty well, and know I am not abusing, seen me at the worst of my pain ect. But still, it was NYQUIL!
yeah the kroger near where i lived stopped selling coricidin cough and cold(triple c's) cuz everyone at my school was usin em to get fucked up
