would this change your mind? http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2008/09/ron-paul-to-make-major-announcement.html
i agree,if that happens all it will do is guarantee obama wins.. but at least ill have someone i can vote for and still live with myself..
I expect this thread to be full of cliches and spent vitriolic arguments hurled by the two camps at each other P.S. I am not of the camp that you give legitimacy to a corrupt process by voting out of obligation; or voting for the purported lesser of two evils I believe you vote when you find yourself politically represented by a particular candidate
I'm going to go around to election booths on election day and play songs about how dumb they all are. Probably going to be arrested and sent to a FEMA camp.
i wasn't old enough to vote against bush, but i'm proud to be able to vote against mccain. no vote is essentially a vote for the winner. if we end up with another fucked up asshole in charge of our country, i at least would like to feel as though i took some measure to prevent it. and if i end up voting for the corrupt asshole, i suppose i will have to slap myself very hard in the face.
Okay, I am going to state what I stated in the last thread that a question like this was posed... I'm not voting for either... I am not going to vote just because or just for the lesser of the evil, why vote for someone you don't want to win regardless if they are the "lesser evil" that's lame and doesn't make sense... I have the right to choose whether or not to vote, and I choose not to vote, it is my right and people shouldn't tell me I am wrong or that I should go do something else with my vote... And "no vote" is not a vote to the winner, that again is an excuse and to make people feel pressure to vote..
If you're a partisan that seems a very self-evident truth. I think both parties are ineffectual against the flow of private capital and therefore bound by strings pulling marionnette candidates And the demonization of each party by the media serves to divide voters and maintain the status quo by making people vote for cosmetic candidates controlled by the same campaign contributors; and bent on trading elections among mainstream candidates, thus not allowing independent candidates a chance
i try not to repeat myself too much. this leads to my answers to repeated questions becoming more and more ridiculous, but i guess i'd rather appear retarded than boring...
