I had that several years ago, a bloody neighbour with a garden strimmer, every morning when I was trying to sleep after being on nights! Anyway, a few weeks later and he was saying how it was his holiday soon, they weren't going anywhere and he was looking forward to some quiet lie-in's, well that wasn't going to happen, I went to work and brought home a sheet of steel 2feet square, I marked it off into one inch squares (think of a big chessboard) and waited. I came off my night turn and was on a 48 off, he was off on his holiday hoping to enjoy a lie in, I got an angle grinder and cut the sheet of steel up into the 1 inch squares, partway through I became aware of him watching me from his bedroom window, obviously I'd woke him up. When I'd finished I brushed the whole lot up and threw them into the dustbin, he got the message!
Not this far South, not just yet anyway Candy darlin' - although we are more than overdue a severe winter like we had in 1962/63.
True Candy darlin' - but then I'm snugged down still being 'shielded', man from Sainsburys brings my food, so there is no reason for me to venture out at all !!!
