didn't know where to [ost this but this seemed like the best place. was just wondering if anyone here was from the northwest of england. i don't see many 'hippies' in my area so was just wondering if anyone from that area was on here!
Newcastle is North EAST. Honestly, you southerners... venture north of Northallerton and you're lost.
Bugger. I'm not Southern, I'm just shit at geography. (Though I am south of Northallerton, so relatively speaking...)
That's Newcastle upon Tyne..there's one in Stoke as well which borders on the the fringe of the Northwest! God I'm sad! And I'm from Cheshire........which is definitely the North west. Our Town was host to the strong men competition this weekend..all the hippies snubbed it with a nice little gathering behind the music marquee, which included a sing song and alcohol and smokes not purchased on the festival itself...the strong...........men, didn't quite know what to make of us! Good times I tell thee!
I'll confess I didn't know that, I was referring to the north-eastern one. Blame my education - I'm from Yorkshire, so all we learnt in geography was "if it's outside of Yorkshire, it's not worth bloody visiting!".
How strange... First post I come to read in indeed ages of being on! Just outside Newcastle, yes. My Mam lives in Barrow these days though
