After being absent for a few days, I find it surprising to see that nobody has been talking about the recent developments in the quest to uncover the truth regarding what really happened on September 11th, 2001. After appearing on the Alex Jones Show on Monday of last week, the mainstream media has been all over Charlie Sheen's remarks regarding what he sees as a government coverup surrounding the 9/11 attacks. For three nights last week, CNN Headline News' Showbiz Tonight covered Sheen's remarks and the flood of public response that has ensued. On Thursday and Friday night, Alex Jones was interviewed live on the show. A poll conducted by CNN shows that 84% of the 41,000+ people polled agree with Sheen's assessment regarding the events of 9/11.



While this poll is not in any way scientifiic, it shows that people are waking up to what is really going on. This is incredibly important, because it shows that more people are waking up to the New World Order's manipulation. Those who are learned understand how terrorism is being used to push an agenda and usher in a totalitarian world government, and will see future attacks for global control for what they are.

Sheen is the first celebrity to vehemently and publicly speak out on the events surrounding 9/11, and CNN's Showbiz Tonight is the first mainstream media outlet to cover the topic in any reasonable detail, and fairly. Sheen is just one among a growing list challenging the official government lie about 19 hijackers commandeering four airplanes with boxcutters, including Brigham Young physics professor Steven Jones, MIT engineerring professor Jeff King, congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration (and the father of "Reaganomics"), Paul Craig Roberts, and former chief economist for the United States Department of Labor during 2001–2002, Morgan Reynolds, among dozens of other prominent names.

When are you going to tell us which parts of the holocaust were "hugely over exaggerated" or "completely made up"?

After all, destroying the WTC would increase the demand for commercial office space.

Oh, I was confused before. It was the US governemnt (the rich, white Republicans from Texas and the South, anyway) AND the

stock traders (!) who were behind 9/11. And we've been after bin Laden all this time when Charles Schwab was hiding right there in plain sight.



Stock traders generally only benefit when the indexes go up (i.e. when the numbers move from being closer to zero to being father away). The NYSE continued to drop over 1,500 points bewteen 9/11 and mid-summer 2002.

Rush up to what scene? Cover what up? You mean Halliburton brought about the deaths of 3,000 innocent Americans in order to profit? Impressive. Most companies that desperate would just cook the books.



Just to keep score, so far the following entities brought about 9/11:



1) the US government (but not necessarily anyone specific)

2) stock traders

3) stockholders (I owned Amazon.com stock at the time, but no one let me in on the planning)

4) Halliburton

5) Arnold Schwarzenegger (ok, that's my addition, but he had to have known that 'Collateral Damage', scheduled to be released on Sept. 14, 2001 was going to be a box-office flop and needed to postpone its release)

 

The point of the thread is not to debate Charlie Sheen's credibility, whether in a reasonable (which we haven't seen) or an unreasonable way. The point is that 84% of people agree with him. That is a staggering majority for any theory.

It's no secret/conspiracy that traders saw a golden opportunity to sell, right after 9/11, when the value of gold actually went up; where you came to the conclusion that traders had something to do with the questionable "catastrophe" is beyond me.


what I do know, is that the 'Anti-Terrorist Bill' (a rough draft precursor of the Patriot Act) was passed immediately after 9/11, after several failed attempts since 1993 (Waco); wouldn't be the first time gov't inflicted 'collateral damage' to execute an agenda.

 

What exactly are we supposed to be debating? Charlie Sheen said the plane that hit the tower didn't look like a passenger jet. So he needs to visit an optometrist. Other than that, what did he say that we should discuss?

 

I saw an opportunity to capitalize on the stock market right after 9/11. Everyone knew the market would drop (which it did; source? go to nasdaq.com and pull a 5-year chart on the DJIA) and would then recover (which it also did and I sold some Dow Index funds for a tidy profit). So, now am I in on the conspiracy to cover-up.... what exactly is being covered up now?

I see. The number of sexual assaults goes up in the summertime. So does ice cream consumption. Does that then mean that eating ice cream causes one to commit or be the victim of a sexual assault? Correlation doesn't imply causation. You've got to do more than this. Your premise can lead in any number of directions, among which a 9/11 conspiracy on the part of the govt. or whomever is the least plausible.

As for the issue of this thread, it's not all that remarkable that over 80% of the people believe Charlie Sheen and that lot. Take a look at Sheen's comments. He's not actually arguing anything. It's the old "It's possible for someone to have a contrary position, therefore the contrary position is plausible" rap. People fall for this shit all the time, especially when the conspiracy is more interesting and a more engaging story than the truth. Never mind all the "This looks to me like such and such..." or "this could have been such and such..."

This is a noteworthy issue argumentatively but not substantively.
