oh, it was so easy, and i have dreadlocks! do you have locks? if not, it'll be even easier. soak your head in vinegar (i prefer white vinegar cuz i think it smells better) pour a mixture of vinegar, tea tree oil, some essential oils if you've got em (just for the smell)...leave it on for about an hour, with a shower cap or plastic bag over your head. then wash it off with water. if you haven't got dreadlocks, comb your hair with a teeny tiny comb. i've read many places that the nits become disconnected with the vinegar. (it really works!) i also, one time, bought an 'all natural' product at the drug store and added that into the regimine. i repeated the vinegar wash apx. every 3 days for 2 weeks, adding in the drug store stuff once. wash everything in hot water... it really was quite easy. let me know if you've got any questions, and good luck!
kayte, add some EOs to the vinegar for scent, too. same mix works on floors and leaves a nice smell behind! Who knew? Basically, you need to smother the adult lice & remove the nits. the vinegar dissolves the "glue" the nits attach with.
