I got my nipple pierced two weeks ago, been doing salt soaks every day ( I may have missed a day or two out but I'm sure that doesn't matter). I think I'm putting a little too much salt in the solution as my nipple looks quite dry... There is dry gunky stuff still around it every now and again, and I use an antibacterial hand gel before I touch my piercing for cleaning. Because of the piercing I wear a bra at night, but when I choose not to wear a bra, or take it off my nipple/boob starts throbbing 0.o I think it usually stops after a while. Last night I didn't wear a bra and just now, when I'm wearing a bra it had started throbbing again, but only for a few seconds. Just wondering if I need to be worried about an infection? Has anyone had this throbbing sensation before? I'm able to see my piercer, so if anyone says so I may do that. Any help would be great Thanks
Unless it's hard, hot and red, with yellow or green pus [not clear-ish discharge], then it's probably not an infection. A good ratio for saline is 1/8tsp of salt to 1c warm water. Any time I get a new piercing or stretch an old one, it can get a little hurty for a while, and yes, throb. But yeah, I don't know that much about nipple rings specifically... if yr really worried about it, hop skip up to yr piercer and ask.
i cant really say about the throbbing... but i found it much more comfortable to not wear a bra at all, just a loose soft shirt.
I have both mine done, and had them done at different times (about a yr apart) The piercings themselves didn't hurt that much.... but ohmyfukingod for atleast a month after I was in hell both times..and the crusty yellowish gunk is normal, it's just a sign that it's healing (watch for greens or oozing though, thats a sign of infection). try not to over do it with salt (keep those babys hydrated, u dont want raisens 4 nips) The good news is it'll pass..hope u feel better soon
