    April, as I understand it, you must make a certain number of posts before being granted full membership abilities. Give it a while. I think I waited until after a dozen or two posts. An avatar of 200x200 pixels or less works just fine.

    On the other hand, I hear there are directions accessable from the home page just for newbies like you.
