Newer Twilight Zone?

Having enjoyed the original - and 30 years later a 'New' Twilight Zone series - Isn't about time that a Newer series came out?
The stories (along with that of the 'Outer limits') always had me on the edge as a child - and now coupled with (as opposed to) Specialist effects - instead of such, is I feel due for a re-vamp - there must be some good/budding writers out there awaiting such an opportunity to show/express their talents - or have we now become a victim of IT over imaginative creativity? - One wonders

 

i'm sure there are, but they would never get the opportunity because the networks would require the producers to hire some crappy writer that already had a popular terrible show.

Good point also JJ - though something similar/along those lines would I feel be Good I do like a good short story -for it offers so much opportunity for the mind to imagine
