Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and to the whole "hippy" thing. I always was a Liberal and a Feminist. I love the enviornment and all animals. If you have any suggestions about how to further any activism on these issues that would be great. Thanks!!

i think its more important to better yourself through education, than to better anyone else through trying to educate, convince or activate them. just be patient and follow your heart and stay safe. thats my advice on activism.

Friends are good too. Merely by surrounding yourself with people who's phylosophies and lifestyles you connect with, and also being openminded yourself, you will end up networking and learning more than you would alone. But still, do your own unique thing and make your own opinions and perceptions.

Also, don't be fooled into putting too much value or meaning into the label "hippy"

Although, I can't fully say I am liberal, I am very openminded. I consider myself a feminist if it means "equality" and "pro-choice". But most importantly I am a huge fan of the environment and outdoor adventures!

Anyway, welcome here, you sound like a good addition to this place.

Welcome Earthchild....there are so many forums on this site,you can find just about any subject you're interested in.

 

Welcome my sister. Good advice is just be yourself and stick to what your gut tells ya. Education and reaserch is also good. There are plenty of topics on here that will give you good sites to look at for activism and such. So welcome home and talk to you soon.
