I am not going. I thought about it but I live in the NYC area. It will be so closed. If you are not in the city you won't be able to easily get there. People who live in North NJ or some of the outer bouroughs are having to stay home from work. We have an ultra Republican mayor who seems to be doing all he can to help this go off without a hitch. I even heard they are moving the protesters to the West side highway and NOT allowing to protest in front of the RNC. Westside highway is no mans land in the city and not close to anything really. If you are going to come here from Chicago for this come early or you might not be able to enter the city very easily. If you need a place to crash, email me. Jackie
Because I think there are a few people that don't like Bush. I could be wrong. Something about security risks? Can you blame the guy? I think I would be sending my stunt double.
I am going to the protest from Champaign, Illinois... I am driving, so far. I haven't found anyone willing to go with me, I would love to carpool with someone. Wheather that means me going with someone, or driving myself. P.S. - Sent you an email Dharma Seeker...
If I were Bush, I would be worried about all of the military bases where he's been hanging out. There are plenty of screwballs in the military that could go after him.
