Hoping someone can help me navigate through this site. Not very good with techy stuff. Can I post pictures, videos? I'm also looking for specific discussion groups. Can I post personal stories? Can I post a personal add? I'm an avid masturbator, edger. Being single, and very busy, I have no one to share my experiences with. I feel. I need to tell someone!! Help!
Howdy 51Rooster! After you make ten public posts and have been with us a week or so you will be upgraded to member status. Then you can post images, embed videos in posts and create blogs for personal stories. To advertise on the HipForums you must be a paying advertiser. However we are hear to talk about just about everything, and hope you enjoy finding your way around the site!
51Roo, yes it can be tricky at first navigating around on Hip. I've been here two and a half years and the first six months were a slow learning curve. There is no one central page or pages of 'Here's How', which would help a lot. But Zen is a good source for info, and I'll offer to assist where I can. And I'm a worse techy than you probably are! As to posting photos, there are rules, written somewhere in the first 'welcome to Hip' type pages. Basically, no explicitly sexy stuff, like erect penes, open labia, penetrate, etc. HIP was meant to be, back at it's beginning twenty-odd years ago, to be on wide-ranging topics, but classier than many of the internet sites. The Moderators (each Forum has one or two) will usually keep things in line. Personal stories? Oh, yes, the place is full of 'em! On the home page, go to Forums then look down the list of general topics, like Love and Sex or Relationships. Under those are numerous "Threads" begun by people on more specific topics. Love and Sex alone has many. Now some of the Threads may have been dormant for awhile, but the most recently added to are listed first. But going back to a few months older ones can yield interesting stories and posters who are still active on HIP. If you see a posting you find interesting, you can simply click 'Like'. That will show up on the poster's 'Alerts' page (like this one is on yours). If you want to add some comment to that posting, click 'Reply'. You'll get a box to type in your comments, further discussion or a related story. If you typo or want to re-phrase, click Edit, fix it, and Save Changes. To find out a bit about a poster, click on their Avatar. That'll take you to a small black box with some info on them. Clicking on Messages will allow you to read their previous postings! If someone sounds a bit bogus (and there are a lot) you'll know from reading their posts. If they sound interesting and you might want to have a private exchange with them, click Conversation and follow the instructions you'll get. Sending them a note or question will go to their personal Inbox and they might reply to your Inbox. My widdle fimbers are tired of typing, so hope this helps for a start. --- OGN
