Hi all, I've been checking out this site for a few days now and have decided to register. I thought I was weird for wanting to be barefoot all the time but after reading the posts here, I guess not. I'm not much of a poster, and in fact asked my wife to take down my pic from her facebook site. I tend to keep to myself When I was about 13, I noticed my neighbour, a girl would walk around barefoot all over the street, which @ the time when puberty was hitting, piqued my interest. I then went to school with another girl named Roxanne. I walked home behind her one day, to which I noticed she was wearing a blue t shirt, jean shorts and barefoot. I remember writing in my diary that she was barefoot and I found that exilhirating that they were black and she didn't seem to care. I wanted to be free like her, even be her. Reading that diary 20 years later brought all the memories back. I guess that's where my foot fetish started I like to go barefoot here in Southern Ontario as much as possible, but I also have upwards of 20 pairs of sandals. I also have some naked sandals as well, the ones you stick on your feet and peel off I wear two toe rings, one on each foot, 2nd toe in and have had them on for 15 years, never removed them. I also wear hemp ankle bracelets. I never though about going into stores barefoot for fear of The Look, as you call it. I never know what to say when people call me out. But I try to wear flip flops as much as possible. I have to change that. Since typing this, I have been barefoot for three days straight. My work doesn't count as I work in a metal fab plant. Very dangerous, we've had guys filet their arms, and have their hands ripped off. Not pretty. So far, I've been to the store and the Post Office barefoot. I met a friend there who called me out "Where are your shoes?" I love getting my feet black but not too black. I remember walking in our underground parking through the car's oil puddles just so I could get them black. I also remember be a young teenager and walking out in the dark to the baseball diamond behind our house after a rainfall just to feel the mud squish btwn my toes. My wife doesn't get the whole barefoot idea, but she's got bunions and hammer toes. Not pretty. The down side to being barefoot...is that I have to steam clean our carpets way more frequently. I always thought barefoot really meant something deeper but now I see that barefoot is literally just barefoot. Cool. Also reputation for your username.
There does seem to be something potent about noticing barefeet at the onset of puberty. Interest in going around barefoot, seeing others go barefoot and noticing someone's dirty barefeet stays with you.
