I do wanna qualify this with the fact that I hadn't bought new shoes in years.. so, anyway, on Saturday went and bought 3 pairs of (nice) new shoes... one was a pair of DC sneakers-blue n purple plaid and then a nice pair of leather sandals and a pair of Tom's (slip on type thing).. anyways I love the feeling you get walking out of the store with new shoes. Imo, you don't get the same feeling from buying anything else (at least I don't) and I love the feeling of wearing them for the first (couple) times. =)
When I buy new running shoes I need to break them in by walking around the house with them for a few weeks before I run. If I don't, I get blisters.
I hate new shoes. I'm always wondering "were they the right size, how will they break in.." I've got really broad feet, so some manufacturers, I just cant wear their shoes... It also takes me forever to choose new shoes. Whereas girls just buy loads of shoes. Maybe its a genetic thing...
All three pairs of my new shoes fit perfect and feel so comfy walking around ... so much nicer than the shoes I was wearing all the time before. That prolly has something to do with it. Plus my other shoes... really needed to be replaced. I just like looking at my new shoes now.. I was like "hmm so THIS is what it feels like to be a normal girl who buys shoes" =D
I like new shoes too, despite the fact they usually give me blisters. But I live in flip flops now that it's summer so no issue with blisters there.
I heart new socks. New shoes hurt. Especially heels, I have to walk around the house with socks in them first or dancing is killer.
I always prefer the feeling of my old shoes too. Really have to get used to my new shoes every time. It takes away from the first joy of having new shoes for me for sure
I like new shoes! But the thing is they have to be the perfect fit. If there are NOT comfortable from the get go....they don't fit properly!
