Its getting a little weird now with, for example, the latest research indicating that compressing things down to one dimension, causes their temperature to decrease, instead of increasing. Information is more fundamental than energy, and a quantum simulator could possibly be indistinguishable from organic life, and sentience. Its supposedly a simulation, but nobody can prove it with even a quantum computer. Likewise, a computer's results are not considered identical to the reality and, without a sense of humor, researchers are doomed.
