I honestly don't like glass pipes. The taste compared to wood pipes is harsher, cleaning is a bitch and since stoners have about 3x the force of gravity acting on them they tend to shatter. I got a nice wood pipe from Eckerd, and also have a nice 'sneak a toke' that looks like a mushroom bracelet.

i dunno yeah they can be a little harsher then wood
    but it's better then metal
what i one thing bout glass that wood and metal don't have the advantage
if ur absolutly fucked and u need to ditch it a bunch shattered glass is not a pipe...
some might think thats a waste of money but if u can get them cheap its well worth it...
and euggene i will show u how a glass pipe is the easiest to clean and the niced for collecting resin

diff ppl use differsnt techniques. I use a water and rubbing alchohol solution, in a microwavable bolw (with lid) toss the pipe in there and microwave it for about 30 minutes. after that most of the resin washes out with water out of the faucet....sometime a tooth pick, small brush, or a cotton swab helps get it all clean.

I have thought about the 420 cleaner designed for glass, just havent got to it...anyone try this stuff?

I hope you meant 30 seconds. I typically just run it under hot water. I've used the 420 stuff and admittedly it does work very well. I forgot that my pipe was chameloen glass and after I cleaned my pipe I was like WTF is up with the color. Then I looked at the pics of my pipe i took on my webcam and was like oh ya. Anyways, it works well, however I used up my bottle on 2 cleanings. I've heard that rubbing alcohol and hot water works just fine, but who wants to clean their piece? Just take resin hits. My entire summer was built on resin hits.

" My entire summer was built on resin hits " - made my day, lol. But ya, depends on the size of the pipe and how often you clean it, alot of tary resin does build up and can last. Harsh hits and resin hits are much worse for you but every so often it hasta be done.

    Peace - J

Ya basically I'd just let my friend borrow my bowl and let them load it up with nice resin and just enjoy that.
